About CODARIS and these terms

CODARIS (Coalition Of Developers Advancing Responsible Intelligent Systems) is an independent developer coalition operated by Serhat Soruklu. These terms govern your use of the CODARIS website, account and membership features. The operator’s legal status and full contact details should be confirmed before public account registration is enabled.

By submitting the registration form, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy notice. If you do not agree, do not submit the form. The current release has no payment or subscription feature.

Applications and membership

To apply, provide the required registration information, a working email address and a joining statement. Optional profile links and a profile image are not required. You must provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and update the profile fields that account settings allow you to change.

Membership becomes active when you confirm access to your email address. The implemented service does not include a staff application-review or approval step. Email confirmation verifies mailbox access; it does not verify your identity, professional credentials, country or ownership of external profiles.

Your membership credential has a separate public verification link. By selecting the required registration acknowledgement, you understand that anyone with that link or its QR code can see your display name, role, public membership number, current membership status and issue date. CODARIS has no public member directory. You can turn off public verification in your dashboard; verification then returns a generic unavailable response.

Your randomly generated membership ID identifies your account and can be used to sign in. It is not a password, qualification, accreditation or endorsement by CODARIS. No age requirement is implemented in the registration flow; CODARIS’s age-eligibility policy has not yet been set.

Accounts and security

Choose a unique password and keep it confidential. Do not share your password or verification and recovery links. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

You can change your password and email address through account settings. A new email address must be verified before member access resumes. Password reset and password change sign out existing sessions. The service may limit requests to protect accounts and the service.

How members should act

Use CODARIS lawfully and in a way that respects other people and the service. In particular, do not:

• impersonate another person or misrepresent your qualifications, affiliations or control of a profile;
• attempt to access another account, bypass security controls or disrupt the site;
• submit information or links that you do not have the right to provide, or that infringe another person’s rights; or
• use the service to break the law or harm others.

These rules apply to information you submit, including your joining statement, profile image and external links. CODARIS does not provide a public member directory, chat or member-posted content. Public credential verification is limited to the fields described above.

Information you provide

You remain responsible for the information and profile links you submit. You allow CODARIS to store, process and display those details within your account as needed to provide and protect the account and membership service. This permission is limited to operating the service; it does not transfer ownership of your information or grant a general right to use it for promotion.

Your original joining statement is stored as part of the account record and cannot be changed in settings. Contact [email protected] to request a correction or account closure. How closure and erasure requests are handled is explained in the Privacy notice.

CODARIS materials and external links

The website includes learning guides, research catalogues and links to material maintained elsewhere. The relevant rights notices and source attributions apply to individual materials. These terms do not transfer intellectual-property rights in CODARIS or third-party material to you, and they do not override a separate licence shown with that material.

Learning material is general information, not a guarantee that a tool, version, technique or external resource is current or suitable for your situation. Check primary documentation and make your own technical assessment. External websites and services are operated independently; CODARIS does not control their content, availability or privacy practices.

Availability and changes

We work to maintain the site, but do not promise that every feature will always be available or that every planned feature will be released. We may change, pause or remove features as the service develops. We will take reasonable steps to give notice where a change materially affects members.

CODARIS currently has no paid membership or subscription feature. If a paid service is introduced, its price and applicable terms will be shown before you are asked to pay.

Restrictions and leaving

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect an account, investigate suspected misuse, meet a legal obligation or protect the service. Where practical, we will tell you why and provide a way to contact us about the decision. Nothing in these terms promises that a staffed review or appeal process is currently available.

You can ask to close your account by emailing [email protected]. Account settings do not currently include a deletion control. We will assess the request under applicable data-protection law and explain any information we must retain and why; see the Privacy notice.

Responsibility, changes to terms and contact

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. These terms do not remove any rights you have under the law that applies to you.

We will publish revised terms here and update the review date. If a change materially affects the membership relationship, we will give notice before it takes effect where practicable. If you do not agree to a change, you can ask to close your account.
